Rules to follow whilst at an event
South Seattle Bear Social (“SSBS”) is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone attending our events.
By attending an SSBS event, you agree to follow these guidelines.
Be Respectful
Treat all attendees with courtesy and respect.
Everyone deserves to enjoy events free from harassment, discrimination, bullying, or unwanted attention.
No Shaming
SSBS welcomes people of different backgrounds, body types, identities, interests, and experience levels.
Do not shame, ridicule, mock, or belittle others for:
- Appearance or body type
- Age
- Identity or expression
- Relationship status
- Experience level
- Personal interests or hobbies
- Clothing or attire
- Kinks, fetishes, or personal preferences (where relevant to the event)
No Harassment
Harassment of any kind is not tolerated.
This includes:
- Unwanted advances
- Repeated unwanted contact
- Intimidation
- Stalking
- Offensive comments
- Deliberate exclusion or targeting of individuals
If someone asks you to stop a behavior, stop immediately.
No Aggressive Behavior
Aggressive, threatening, or hostile behavior is not permitted.
This includes:
- Verbal abuse
- Threats
- Intimidation
- Excessive confrontational behavior
- Deliberately provoking conflicts
No Fighting
Physical altercations will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Any attendee who engages in violence or attempts to start a fight may be removed from the event immediately.
Respect Personal Boundaries
Not everyone comes to an event for the same reasons.
Always respect personal space and boundaries.
Consent, whether social, physical, or otherwise, matters.
Support a Positive Environment
Help create a welcoming atmosphere by:
- Introducing yourself to new attendees
- Being kind and inclusive
- Helping others feel comfortable
- Looking out for the safety and well-being of fellow attendees
Follow Venue Rules
All attendees are expected to comply with venue policies and applicable laws.
Failure to follow venue rules may result in removal from the event.
Reporting Concerns
If you experience or witness conduct that violates these guidelines, please contact an SSBS organizer or event staff member as soon as possible.
Reports will be treated seriously and reviewed as fairly as possible.
Event Participation
SSBS reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inconsistent with these guidelines.
Changes to These Guidelines
These Community Guidelines may be updated from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised date.
